From: Bushwick, Brooklyn
Job: Real estate agent
Here’s what a typical day in the life of Erick looks like:
There is no typical day in real estate but that’s what keeps it interesting!
7.30am, wake up, check emails at home
11am, until early evening, head out. I’ll swing by Prosper to make phone calls, and do my computer work. It’s nice and quiet and motivating, so I get a lot done. A lot of the properties I’m showing are in Bushwick and Bed-Stuy so I’ll head out and show them, then come back to Prosper to do some more work, then head out again. The location couldn’t be better.
What is the best thing about being your own boss? Making your own hours.
What’s the worst? No health benefits or 401K.
Where did you work before you discovered Prosper? My real-estate office is a complete madhouse with dozens of agents and clients all talking at once.
Which is your favorite spot to work in Prosper’s 1024 Broadway space? I like the tables upstairs but also the phone booths.
What does the word “Gowork” mean to you? Get busy!
What do you hope to achieve in 2018? To sell 5 properties. I’ve previously only bought property or leased it out.
