Prosper Talks?

Ever wondered what everyone else is up to at Prosper Gowork? We all have skills and stories to share, which is why we’re so thrilled to introduce Prosper Talks. Each month a member here at Prosper will lead a discussion of their choosing and provide a platform for learning, discussion, delivering feedback, and sharing ideas.

Here is a chance for you to get to know your community, connecting members at both locations, and collaborate with like minded entrepreneurs. These seminars will range from focus groups to workshops on a variety of topics. So far, we’ve had the pleasure of sitting with Adam Langsner, a go-getter here at Prosper who is making it his mission to show society that budgeting and personal finance doesn’t have to be scary and stressful. With over a decade of experience as a software engineer working in a variety of industries, he’s no rookie to the finance game.

Our next session will be held by Tricia Kakalec, an attorney with more than 20 years of employment law experience, including as the Bureau Chief of the New York Attorney General’s Labor Bureau and as a legal services lawyer.  She is now in private practice representing employees with wage and hour, discrimination, severance, and other employment matters. Tricia will be leading an open discussion on employment issues and questions facing today’s freelancers, of which there are many in the Prosper community.

One of the great benefits of Prosper Talks is that it is a two way street. While an experienced enterpriser is sharing their experiences and knowledge, the community is also able to give back and helping the seminar leader gain insight into ideas to help their business grow. Do you have a skill or topic that you think could benefit others? Shoot us an email at hello@prospergowork.com and you could be our next featured member!

Stay tuned to find out what our next featured Prosper member has to share with the co-working community!
